It was kind of interesting to see Wisconsin Badgers ILB Leo Chenal not receive any national recognition for his 17 tackle game against Army last week, but he has forced everyone to notice him this week. An integral piece in Wisconsin’s win over No. 25 Purdue on Saturday, Chenal was named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week for his performance.
Chenal recorded nine tackles (eight solo), including 5.5 for losses, and a career-best 3.5 quarterback sacks against the Boilermakers. He was everywhere on the field and forced Purdue to alter their game plan.
