Wisconsin Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor was named the B1G Offensive Player of the Week for his dominant performance against the Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday. Taylor scored a school-record five touchdowns, which he shares with Melvin Gordon most recently, and gashed the Kent State defense on basically every carry.
He carried the ball 19 times for 186 yards and four rushing touchdowns, which moved into third place on Wisconsin’s all-time rushing list with 4,916 career yards, passing the aforementioned Gordon by one yard.
Showcasing his newfound talent out of the backfield, Taylor also added three catches for 29 yards and a touchdown on the afternoon.
