Joel Stave sure doesn’t get much love, but he’s much better than most of us think, including NFL Network talking heads. A while back on my old blog, I did an analysis of the top 10 quarterbacks in Badger history, and, like cream, Stave rose to the top, or at least near it.
In terms of overall career value, Stave places second, behind John Stocco, and it is a close second. When viewed on a per-game basis, he ends up 5th, behind Russell Wilson, Scott Tolzien, Jim Sorgi, and Stocco.
