After Saturday’s practice, we at B5Q had the chance to hear from defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard and running backs coach Gary Brown. The two assistants had plenty to say about their respective groups,
First up, Leonhard spoke about players such as S John Torchio, OLB Darryl Peterson, DE Rodas Johnson, and more, as well as what he has seen from his defense overall so far this fall.
Following Leonhard, Gary Brown discussed the running back room and what he has seen from the young group. He specifically discussed the four main tailbacks (Jalen Berger, Chez Mellusi, Braelon Allen and Isaac Guerendo) getting carries so far, and also breaks down the progress of Julius Davis.
