Madison-native and redshirt junior tight end, Jake Ferguson has become the fourth Badger this summer to be added to a national award’s watch list. Ferguson is one of 36 tight ends on the John Mackey Award watch list, which is given to the nation’s top tight end at season’s end.

As a sophomore, Ferguson caught 33 passes, for 407 yards and two touchdowns, while nursing a thumb injury early in the season. For his career at Wisconsin, he has 69 receptions, 863 yards and six touchdowns.

Ferguson’s addition to the watch list is no surprise given his back-to-back 400-yard-seasons and his improved blocking skills, as he has progressed in cardinal and white.
