After an up and down five years at Wisconsin, reserve running back Bradrick Shaw has opted to pursue a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA, and intends to transfer according to the university (first reported by Jesse Temple of the Athletic).
A heralded recruit out of Alabama, he burst onto the scene as a redshirt freshman with over 450 yards and five touchdowns in limited action behind starter Corey Clement. Entering the 2017 season as the presumed starter, he would be ultimately leapfrogged by freshman sensation Jonathan Taylor after injuries sent Shaw to the sidelines for chunks of the season.
