Champaign, Ill.— Jordan Hill wasn't at his best as Wisconsin prepared to host No. 19 Indiana last week.
During one practice at the Kohl Center, the decision-making of the redshirt sophomore guard so irritated interim head coach Greg Gard that he sent Hill to the bench and back to the scout team for a few possessions.
Yet two days later with starting guards Bronson Koenig and Zak Showalter providing little offensively, Hill was asked to play a college-high 32 minutes to help UW upset the Hoosiers, 82-79, in overtime Tuesday.
He responded by hitting all five field-goal attempts, drawing two charges and blocking a shot.
