Wisconsin changes venue policy in response to costume incident

Because there are profoundly cruel and idiotic people in the world, the University of Wisconsin amended its venue policy on Thursday to revise its attendee standards of conduct. This action comes in response to two people wearing costumes depicting President Obama and Hillary Clinton being lynched by Donald Trump.

The rules change follows on the heels of Nigel Hayes and other Wisconsin student-athletes taking to Twitter on Monday, roundly criticizing the university’s initial response to the incident.

Things now prohibited at Camp Randall and other venues include (and I cannot believe we actually have to have rules in 2016 prohibiting this) “nooses and ropes, which will be treated as weapons that constitute a threat to safety (as will replicas of weapons).
