It was just an exhibition contest against a smaller state school, but the Wisconsin basketball team opened the 2015-16 slate with a 101-46 win over UW-River Falls Wednesday night at the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin’s two returning starters — Nigel Hayes and Bronson Koenig — each played 20-plus minutes as everyone on the Badgers bench had a chance to play, including recent manager-turned-walk-on Will Decorah and Jackson Dax, who earned a spot on the team during an open tryout.
