Wisconsin basketball takes first loss abroad on last-second Melbourne United three-pointer

The Wisconsin Badgers were handed their first loss of their international tour of New Zealand and Australia on Sunday.

The 90–89 final ended with a three-point shot from Melbourne United with just 2.4 seconds left on the clock. Guard Brevin Pritzl had a chance to take back the lead for the Badgers, but was blocked on a last-second attempt from the arc.

Still, Wisconsin looked pretty good in front of the 1,500-person crowd.

Sophomore guard D’Mitrik Trice was the Badgers’ top scorer with 19 points, 12 of which came from three-point range.
