The Wisconsin men’s basketball program had an up-and-down season full of twists and turns that led the Badgers to finish exactly where they were projected in the preseason — fifth.
Those twists and turns became even more noticeable during February when the Badgers compiled a disheartening 2-6 record, never won back-to-back games, and racked up zero wins on the road.
“One thing about this group is we’ve gone through tougher times, and they haven’t broke,” Gard told reporters. They haven’t flinched or felt sorry for themselves… They understand this is part of the journey to get yourself out of the predicament you’re in.
