On a night honoring Howard Moore and his family, the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team won their first game of the 2019-2020 calendar year.
Wisconsin was able to beat Eastern Illinois 65-52. Wisconsin is now 1-1 on the year, and will return to action at the Kohl Center next Wednesday against McNeese State.
Against Eastern Illinois, Wisconsin came out slow, shooting only 1-of-5 from behind the three point arc and had five turnovers in the first 10 minutes of game action. The Badgers eventually settled in though and went into the half leading 34-27. Wisconsin was paced by Kobe King and Nate Reuvers, who were each in double figures at the half.
