During a challenging February stretch where the Wisconsin basketball program lost seven out of nine games, uncertainty surrounding the Badgers loomed large. However, during senior night against Rutgers, two bench players provided some answers.
Kamari McGee, in particular, emerged as a much-needed spark after returning from an 11-game absence due to a lower-body injury, chipping in 11 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting from the field in 10 minutes.
“I didn’t plan to come in and score as many as I did,” McGee told reporters. “I was just thinking about getting back to that rhythm we had before I got injured.
