It's not Valentine's Day anymore, but apparently nobody told that to Denzel Valentine on Thursday night as his Spartans dropped the Badgers 69-57.
No. 8 Michigan State's senior guard showed why his name is in the discussion for National Player of the Year on Thursday night in Wisconsin's 69-57 loss to the Spartans.
While Valentine, who finished with 24 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, was in a groove all night, the Badgers could never find their rhythm and saw their seven-game win streak snapped.
Wisconsin found themselves in an early 14-3 hole, which soon expanded to 23-10 as Valentine either scored or assisted on each of Michigan State's first nine field goals.
