The week three AP Poll is out and the Wisconsin basketball team is nowhere to be found after a pair of losses to Western Illinois and Georgetown already this season.
The Badgers (3-2) opened the season #17 in the poll, but quickly dropped out after a season-opening loss to the Western Illinois Leathernecks. The Badgers earned a few votes in the week two poll, but were well outside the top 25, and this week didn’t garner a single vote after a loss to Georgetown to open the 2K Classic on Friday.
The Badgers did close the week on a high note with a victory over the VCU Rams to close the 2K Classic, and have a pair of games this week — home against Prairie View A&M and away against a top-10 Oklahoma team — to work their way back into the poll.
