The newest, and second to last edition of the College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings were announced Tuesday night, and despite a team in front of them falling over the weekend, the Wisconsin Badgers retained the No. 6 spot in this week’s poll.
The Badgers will face No. 7 Penn State Nittany Lions in the Big Ten Championship in Indianapolis on Saturday with the loser all but eliminated from Playoff contention and the winner in great shape to crack the top four…with help.
Full rankings:
- Alabama Crimson Tide
- Ohio State Buckeyes
- Clemson Tigers
- Washington Huskies
- Michigan Wolverines
- Wisconsin Badgers
- Penn State Nittany Lions
- Colorado Buffaloes
- Oklahoma Sooners
- Oklahoma State Cowboys

Withe Michigan and Ohio State both not playing this week and still very much in play for a Playoff berth, the Badgers will need one or more teams in front of them to fall in their matchups this week.
