EAST LANSING, MICH – The Wisconsin Badgers had their seven game win streak snapped Thursday night as the Michigan State Spartans continued their home court dominance in the Big Ten, beating UW 69-57 in front of another capacity home crowd.
The loss is the Badgers (16-10, 8-5) first in their last eight games. It most definitely restores a bit of urgency to UW’s postseason hopes as it drops them four slots in the Big Ten standings to eighth.
The win for the Spartans puts them at 9-5 in conference play, pushing them behind just Indiana, Iowa and Maryland in a log jam for fourth place.
