The Wisconsin Badgers lost a key piece of their running back room this offseason when Braelon Allen declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, forgoing his final year of eligibility.
While it was an unfortunate loss, it was an expected one, as Allen had his eyes on the NFL for quite some time, ultimately going in the fourth round to the New York Jets this year.
To make up for the loss of Allen, the Badgers hit the transfer portal, landing Oklahoma transfer Tawee Walker, who rushed for 513 yards and seven touchdowns on 102 carries as a part of a timeshare with the Sooners last year.
