Why an injury cost the Badgers their desired draw in the NCAA Tournament

The Wisconsin Badgers are heading to Denver on Thursday to play the Montana Grizzlies in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, drawing a No. 3 seed in the East region.

Wisconsin had a whirlwind last few weeks of the season, as they entered the Big Ten Tournament with a 2-3 record over the final five games, including an ugly 86-75 loss to the Penn State Nittany Lions, which served as their lone Quad 2 loss of the season. That cost the Badgers a chance at a double-bye, forcing them to potentially play four games in four days.
