Where do the Badgers stand in the NCAA’s first NET rankings of the season?

On Monday, the NCAA released its NET rankings. The undefeated Wisconsin Badgers, who rose four spots in the AP Top 25 poll to No. 11 on Monday, are ranked 17th in the NET rankings and are the fifth-highest Big Ten team behind Illinois, Ohio State, Oregon, and UCLA.

Pittsburgh has the highest NET ranking among the Badgers’ opponents so far this season. The Panthers are No. 5 behind top-ranked Tennessee, Auburn, Gonzaga, and Duke. Should Pittsburgh have a strong showing in ACC play, Wisconsin’s win over the Panthers at the Greenbrier Tip-Off will look nice on the Badgers’ NCAA tournament resume, as it is the teams’ only Quad 1 win.
