Fresh off a 28-13 loss to the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions, the Wisconsin Badgers stand at 5-3 on the season ahead of a major rivalry game this weekend against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday.
It’s been a wild season thus far for Wisconsin, who started the year 2-2 with two ugly losses to the Alabama Crimson Tide and USC Trojans. Since then, they’ve gone 3-1, battling close with Penn State in their lone loss over the four-week stretch.
Now at 5-3, the Badgers are close to becoming bowl-eligible and they could do it in a big way this weekend when they face the Hawkeyes, as they look to get revenge after Iowa won the Heartland Trophy in each of the last two weeks.
