The Wisconsin Badgers won their season opener on Friday night, edging past the Western Michigan Broncos 28-14 at Camp Randall Stadium to get to 1-0 on the year.
While the Badgers ultimately won by double digits, it wasn’t pretty as Wisconsin trailed to the Broncos early in the fourth quarter before coming back to win the game with consecutive touchdown drives in the final frame.
Offensively, Wisconsin didn’t get much of a downfield passing game going, instead relying on their running game, where they rushed 46 times on Friday.
Defensively, the Badgers were susceptible at times in the run game, but ultimately shut things down outside of two drives to limit Western Michigan to 14 points overall in the game.
