Madison — Joe Rudolph was known as a tenacious, unflappable offensive lineman during his time in the early 1990s under Barry Alvarez.
Those same labels are appropriate when discussing Rudolph's approach as a coach.
Rudolph, in his first season as Wisconsin's offensive coordinator/offensive line coach, will need to display those traits as he tries to piece together a functioning line for the Sept. 5 opener against Alabama.
A sense of humor wouldn't hurt, either.
Day 15 of preseason camp Monday resulted in another offensive lineman being knocked out with injury.
