It’s not the start to his NFL career former Wisconsin Badgers outside linebacker Vince Biegel wanted.
On Thursday at the start of the Green Bay Packers training camp, the team announced Biegel was one of two players to start on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
The former Wisconsin captain and Packers fourth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft underwent foot surgery that forced him to miss organized team activities and the June minicamp.
ESPN Wisconsin’s Jason Wilde, writing for the Wisconsin State Journal, noted the beloved in-state product “stays positive,” with Biegel saying his foot “feels great” and he can run and cut.
