Madison — Not long after injuring his left shoulder, T.J. Edwardsinsisted his stay on the sideline would not be lengthy.
The redshirt freshman inside linebacker, who suffered the injury on Aug. 12, was back with the first-team defense Friday and afterward reported no issues.
"I knew it was going to be a short-term thing, to be honest with you," he said. "It was just a matter of rehabbing and recovering. It felt good today."
Edwards, who worked alongside Leon Jacobson the No. 1 defense all spring, appeared comfortable attacking the line of scrimmage on running plays and in coverage.
