Madison— The awe that hung over the Dave McClain Center five years ago when J.J. Watt had dozens of NFL scouts drooling over his athletic greatness wasn't present when Watt's younger brother went through the same drills Wednesday afternoon.
Derek is not J.J., the former Badger who was the 11th pick in the 2011 NFL draft and defensive player of the year last season. He is just a 6-2, 234-pound fullback / tight end determined to make scouts notice him any way he can.
"Overall, I'm hoping teams have been able to appreciate my versatility," Watt said after taking part in Wisconsin's pro day testing.
