UW's defensive line coach hopes to deploy more beef in the middle

Madison — Wisconsin assistant coach Inoke Breckterfield enjoys deploying a big body in the middle of UW's defensive line.

Olive Sagapolu, who carries 333 pounds on his 6-foot-2 frame, eventually became the Badgers' go-to nose tackle last season against teams that featured a power running game.

Sagapolu played in 13 games last season. He finished with only seven tackles, including one for loss, but gave Breckterfield the option to use players such as Conor Sheehy and Arthur Goldberg at end rather than on the inside.

Sagapolu, who moves well for his size and can do a standing back-flip, has been working with the No.
