Madison — After seeing the Wisconsin women's basketball team finish 11th in the Big Ten for the third consecutive season, the UW athletic board could have voted last spring to terminate the contract of head coach Bobbie Kelsey.
The board stopped well short of that, however, and instead only voted against extending her contract.
As Kelsey prepares for her fifth season as head coach, she does so with increased pressure to show improvement and a record of 40-78, including 16-50 in Big Ten play, hanging over her head.
"We always have a great outlook," she said.
