Madison — Sojourn Shelton can't wait to see Lambeau Field on Saturday.
"It is going to be cool because I am a football fan," Wisconsin's veteran cornerback said Thursday after UW concluded its fifth spring practice. "And there is so much history that has gone on in that stadium."
UW, which opens the 2016 season against LSU on Sept. 3 at Lambeau Field, is scheduled to practice inside the Don Hutson Center on Saturday morning. The players then will be able to visit Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
Shelton is eager to make the trip because he is a lifelong Atlanta Falcons fan and he still remembers how Michael Vick led the Falcons to a 27-7 victory over the Packers in a 2002 NFC wild-card game.
