Syracuse, N.Y. — Wisconsin's coaching staff is faced with solving two significant deficiencies — as quickly as possible.
In short, unranked UW is alarmingly inefficient on offense and mostly porous on the defensive end.
"I don't know if one outweighs the other," UW associate head coach Greg Gard said, "but we need to get them both improved."
If not, the losses will continue to mount.
UW (4-3) faces another demanding test against No. 14 Syracuse (6-0) in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday (ESPN2) at the Carrier Dome.
The numbers suggest UW is headed toward its fourth loss, matching its mark from last season.
