The National Football League can be a hard business at times, especially when cuts are made to male the final 53. But there is one more day that could make all the difference for some athletes to make a break a team’s chances — the trade deadline.

A few days ago, ESPN writer Greg Garber propositioned several trade-deadline possibilities, two of which dealt both J.J. Watt and Joe Thomas to new teams.
In Garber’s dealings, Watt was sent to the Green Bay Packers for a “Kevin Costner Draft Day ransom” of the Green and Gold’s 2016, 2017 and 2018 first-round picks.
