Madison — Daronte' Jones minced no words when asked during the spring to assess the state of Wisconsin's defensive backs.
"We've got to find some depth," said Jones, preparing for his first season as UW's secondary coach.
UW should be set at the starting spots with three multiyear starters — safety Michael Caputo, cornerbacks Darius Hillary and Sojourn Shelton — and safety Tanner McEvoy.
Caputo, who remains more effective closer to the line of scrimmage, led UW in tackles last season (104).
Hillary has steadily developed into the team's most dependable cornerback. He was consistently given the assignment of shadowing the opponent's No.
