Dayton — The opening minutes of Sunday's game with Dayton must have seemed like hours for the University of Wisconsin women's basketball team.
The Flyers lived up to their nickname by soaring out of the gates with a 12-0 run and coasted to a 87-64 victory over the Badgers before a crowd of 2,097 at the UD Arena.
It was not the viewing fare that Badgers coach Bobbie Kelsey expected.
"It's disappointing, but we're going to fix it," Kelsey said. "We have a senior team and we're going to challenge the seniors to step up.
