The Wisconsin Badgers will have a new quarterback for the remainder of the 2024 season, as starter Tyler Van Dyke will miss the entirety of the year with a torn ACL, leaving the team with questions at the most important position in football.
Wisconsin rolled with Braedyn Locke in Van Dyke’s absence this weekend, and he tossed for 125 yards and a touchdown, while completing 13/26 passes.
Locke, a redshirt sophomore, started a few games last year in relief of Tanner Mordecai, who had a hand injury that caused him to miss some time. Locke did fine in those outings, but the team went 1-2 during the span, with questions swirling about the Badgers future at quarterback.
