Per a report from ESPN's Adam Caplan on Tuesday afternoon, defensive backs coach Daronte' Jones will leave UW to become the assistant defensive backs coach for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL.
Jones only coached one year in Madison when head coach Paul Chryst hired him in January of last year, but helped guide a secondary that limited opponents to 173.2 yards per game in 2015 -- seventh best in the FBS. Safety Tanner McEvoy led the team in interceptions with six, while mentoring cornerbacks Darius Hillary and Sojourn Shelton, who locked down receivers on the outside.
