Madison — When Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst interviewed Daronte' Jones last year, he asked one critical question: "Do you think the guys on the East Coast would come to Wisconsin?"
Jones, who was born in Annapolis, Md., and was applying to coach UW's secondary, offered a quick response.
"I said: 'Hands down,'" Jones said Wednesday after UW unveiled its 2016 freshman class, made up of 25 scholarship players and six preferred walk-ons. "No doubt they will because of what the school has to offer."
Jones' recruiting territory covers northern Virginia, Maryland, the southern half of New Jersey and into Philadelphia.
