Middleton sophomore Jack Rader turned in the best time of the day during the Big Eight Conference Grade Level Challenge at Lake Farm Park.
Four boys and four girls races were held, one for each grade level. Rader’s time of 16 minutes, 27 seconds (for 5,000 meters) was the best of any grade level.
Janesville Parker’s Nate Farrell won the boys juniors race (16:30); Janesville Craig’s Payton Bender won the boys seniors race (16:46); and Middleton’s Michael Madoch (17:55) was the top freshman boy.
Sun Prairie senior McKensey VanWie had the top overall girls time (18:39) and teammate Trista Pringle won the junior race (18:47).
