MADISON -- It was the one that got away, painfully, from the Wisconsin Badgers.
With 81,541 looking on under the lights at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday night, No. 2 Ohio State (6-0, 3-0) overcame a double-digit halftime deficit to defeat No. 8 Wisconsin (4-2, 1-2) in overtime, 30-23.
Buckeyes quarterback JT Barrett found receiver Noah Brown for a seven-yard touchdown pass on third down to open up the extra period. The Badgers held a first-and-goal at the four on the ensuing possession, but turned the ball over on downs to seal the defeat.
Running back Corey Clement’s two rushing attempts were for naught, quarterback Alex Hornibrook threw an incompletion and lost his footing for a game-ending sack.
