Madison — The Wisconsin men's hockey team looked a little rusty in its first meaningful action in almost four weeks.
Ohio State scored twice in the third period to earn a 2-0 victory over the Badgers at the Kohl Center on Friday night.
The Badgers (4-8-5, 1-3-1-0 Big Ten) played an exhibition against Trinity Western on Jan. 1 but otherwise hadn't played since a 3-0 victory over Michigan State on Dec. 12.
UW freshman goaltender Matt Jurusik, coming off his first shutout in that victory over MSU, finished with 19 saves against the Buckeyes (6-11-0, 0-3-0-0).
