Junior forward Sophia Shaver got Wisconsin on board less than a minute into the game, backhanding a wraparound shot past Minnesota goalkeeper Sidney Peters.
Minnesota would tie the game three minutes later, but senior forward Baylee Wellhausen put Wisconsin back on top later in the period, wristing an Abby Roque assist top-shelf.
After Minnesota tied the game in the third period on a Sophie Skarzynski goal, sophomore forward Presley Norby gave Wisconsin the lead for good late in period, backhanding a Maddie Rolfes assist past Peters.
