More good news appears to be on the way for former Wisconsin Badgers basketball standout Nigel Hayes.
Hayes told WTVG in Toledo on Friday that he was invited to the New York Knicks’ mini-camp. The former Badgers forward played on the Knicks’ NBA Summer League team earlier this month.
In five games for the Knicks in Orlando, Hayes averaged 15.4 minutes, 5.2 points, and five rebounds while shooting 41.4 percent from the field. He scored 13 points on 6-of-12 shooting with six rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes during the team’s final summer league contest, a 91-72 victory over the Miami Heat.
