The “10” on Nigel Hayes’ jersey might have to be replaced with “WiscGod” this season.
The Wisconsin men’s basketball junior forward dropped his first (known) single Monday night, titled WiscGod (Back to Back). “WiscGod” appears to be Hayes’ rapping pseudonym in a nod to Drake’s “6 God” and the latest diss track in the Meek Mill versus Drake feud.
Hayes opens up with a Bo Ryan reference, and the hook is “back to back,” symbolic of Wisconsin basketball’s back-to-back Final Four runs.
Hayes spits that he did the verse “just to make fun of ‘em” (referring to teammates Vitto Brown, Riley Dearring and former Jordan Hill) and that he’d “hate to have to go back and do another one.
