Garrett Groshek came to Wisconsin in the fall of 2016 as a walk-on athlete who was an all-state quarterback at Amherst High School, and left as a four year letter winner at running back for the Wisconsin Badgers. Just like everyone drew it up.
For his career, Groshek rushed 235 times for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns, and had 79 catches for 611 yards and a touchdown. Groshek was primarily the third down back for the Badgers, and was a safety valve for all three quarterbacks he played with (Alex Hornibrook, Jack Coan and Graham Mertz).
