As first reported by ESPN's Adam Caplan, former Wisconsin-Whitewater wide receiver Jake Kumerow has signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday. Kumerow's agent confirmed with Bucky's 5th Quarter later Saturday.
The 6'4, 209-pound receiver was named D3football.com's Division III Offensive Player of the Year in 2014, as he caught 66 receptions for 1,116 yards and 14 touchdowns despite missing four games due to injury. He was also being named first-team All-America and first-team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
In the past two seasons where UW-Whitewater captured back-to-back national championships, Kumerow caught 143 passes and 33 touchdowns.
From our scouting report of Kumerow, the former Warhawk performed well during Wisconsin's pro day in March:
Kumerow has an NFL-body.
