Madison — One philosophical difference between Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst and his predecessor, Gary Andersen, has emerged this spring.
Andersen, 19-7 in two seasons at UW, preferred shorter practices both in the spring and during the season.
Chryst, preparing for his first season as UW's head coach after spending the last three seasons at Pittsburgh, has been testing his players' physical and mental toughness with lengthy sessions.
Practice Sunday ran just short of 2 hours, 45 minutes. The team ran through drills for about an hour and then went through a variety of scrimmage situations for 25 possessions.
