The University of Wisconsin men’s tennis team (7-8, 1-4 Big Ten) fell in back-to-back matches over the weekend, losing by a score of 6–1 to both No. 1 The Ohio State (20-2, 4-0) and No. 37 Penn State (13-5, 4-1). The Badgers were simply overpowered by two top teams in the Big Ten conference and the country, as they could only muster one point in each match.
The Buckeyes dominated behind junior JJ Wolf, the highest ranked collegiate player in the nation, who won his match-up with senior Osgar O’Hoisin in straight sets, 6–2 and 7–5. Wisconsin’s lone point came from freshman Jared Pratt, who upset Ohio State’s senior Hunter Tubert, 6–2 and 6–4.
