LSU's Cameron treated for cancer, continuing job

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron says he has been treated for prostate cancer, but has been given "a clean bill of health" and plans to maintain his regular coaching duties this season.

The 54-year-old Cameron, who spoke about his health after Friday evening's practice, has been the offensive coordinator at LSU for the past two seasons and has also spent numerous seasons coaching in the NFL with several clubs.

In his first season in Baton Rouge, Cameron oversaw a passing offense that featured 3,000-yard passer Zach Mettenberger, as well as receivers Odell Beckham Jr.
