LSU will hire Wisconsin defensive coordinator Dave Aranda for the same position, the school announced Friday.
Aranda spent the past three seasons at Wisconsin, which ranked second nationally in scoring defense this season (13.7 PPG) behind Alabama. The Badgers finished fourth nationally in total defense and third against the run last season. They ended the season 10-3 after beating USC on Wednesday in the National Funding Holiday Bowl.
Aranda replaces Kevin Steele, who left LSU for the same post at Auburn after one season on the Tigers' staff.
