Madison — Wisconsin inside linebacker Chris Orr secured his first college start in Week 4 against Hawaii in large part because Leon Jacobs was ejected from the previous game after being penalized for targeting.
Orr recorded 11 solo tackles and 14 total tackles in the 28-3 victory over Troy and took over for Jacobs the next week.
Now after missing three games because of a left-shin injury, the freshman is set to return to the starting lineup when UW faces USC in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30 in San Diego.
The reason: redshirt sophomore Jack Cichy was ejected for targeting in the second half of the regular-season finale.
