Madison — Greg Gard, preparing for his first full season in charge of the Wisconsin men's basketball program, made three anticipated moves Tuesday to finalize his staff.
Lamont Paris, who recently completed his sixth season on the staff, was promoted to associate head coach.
"He is richly deserving of the title change and added responsibilities," Gard said in a UW release. "From on-court coaching, recruiting and player development to camps, he will have a major role in everything we do."
Howard Moore, who left the Big Ten Network in December to fill in as an assistant after Gard was named interim head coach, has been retained.
